Overview:

Person in this position provides supervision of the Mobile Response Team. The Supervisor also functions as a Mobile Response Counselor and responds to on-site and off-site crises according to Agency protocols. Licensed Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, psychiatric rehabilitation, or related human services discipline. Active license as a Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist under Chapter 491, Florida Statutes, or as a psychologist under Chapter 490, F.S.; at least two years’ experience in behavioral healthcare, one of which must be in crisis behavioral health services. Experience working with children and adults is preferred. Compliance with minimum standards for screening of mental health person­nel as contained in

F.S. 394.4572. ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and evaluate the team to ensure service excellence and courteous, helpful, and respectful services to clients and all stakeholders.
Function as a practicing licensed clinician on the Mobile Response Team. Provides crisis services for both adults and children on-site and in the community, prioritizing MRT response services to the school.
Direct the day-to-day clinical operations of the Mobile Response Team including scheduling staff work hours to assure appropriate coverage for day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts and on-call hours; lead organizational staff meetings and treatment planning.
Coordinate the crisis counseling response, provide on-site direction and supervision of the team’s intervention services.
Responsible for program implementation and team reporting, and conducts team debriefings.
Participate in staff recruitment, interviewing, hiring, work assignments, and orientation and performance supervision according to work rules, regulations, and Center policies; and develop and implement staff orientation and training.
Supervises the Mobile Response Team program budget as directed by the Mobile Response Team Leader.
Supervise medical records management assuring maintenance of the medical record in compliance with Center policies and Department of Children and Families’ contract requirements; train staff on medical record requirements; regularly review client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes written by the staff’ and supervise individual staff for medical records mastery.
Carry out and document quality-assurance activities and reviews of use of program services.
Assists in the development and maintenance of program policies and procedures and revise as necessary.
Initiate and maintain relationships, in coordination with other staff, with law-enforcement and other human services agencies, and with informal community resources.
Conduct clinical assessments and provide direct clinical treatment and support services to clients.
Perform on-call duty for crisis intervention and for staff supervision and consultation as needed.
Assists in the initiation of the BA process as needed in coordinator with the MRT Counselors either in person or via tele health arrangements.
Acts as back up to the CRF Unit as needed/available.
Train staff in the knowledge and skills basic to the treatment of persons in crisis and persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Qualifications
Minimum of Master’s degree from an accredited university or college, in human services field; LCSW, LMHC, or clinical Ph.D.

Education/Experience:

A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in mental health field, including at least one year of crisis counseling/management.

Licensure or Certification:

LCSW, LMHC, or clinical PhD required.
Must maintain current CPR, CPI and First Aid certifications. Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain Center approval as an Authorized Driver.
