Intake Assessment Counselor 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars Miami, FL 33170 • Hybrid work Intake Assessor (Licensed) $60,000 Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Why would you love working at Agape? The Intake Assessor is responsible for performing initial intakes on clients who have been referred for services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge of the standards set forth by Thriving Mind SF and the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Ensures that the program is meeting or exceeding the standards for the DCF and Thriving Mind SF. Works with support specialists to coordinate intake assessments for all clients that meet the SAMHSA requirements for services. Responsible for Intake interview and screening of client. Provides the client with a client handbook for his/or her review. Processes paperwork for new clients efficiently and in accordance with protocols. Obtains pertinent information from new clients by asking them to complete surveys or interviews courteously and professionally. Collects data to help with the admission process if working in a health or mental care facility. Respects client or patient dignity and confidentiality. Adheres to the facility dress code and appears professional at all times. Attend staff meetings and/or required trainings outside the agency. Staff cases with Project Director to assess for appropriateness of services provided.

Experience:
Master’s Degree is required. At least two (2) years of clinical experience in mental health field (additional training may substitute for one year.) Must be Licensed in the state of Florida with one of the following: LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor); LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker); LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist). Experience in the Intake/Admissions process required. Experience with computers and data tracking system of clients. It is a requirement to maintain current knowledge of the rules and regulations of DCF.
