Communication skills Behavioral health Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Facilitator to lead and support therapeutic groups. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of group dynamics and be skilled in fostering an inclusive environment for participants. This role involves working with diverse client populations, aged 18+, while utilizing various therapeutic techniques to promote personal growth and behavioral improvement. Responsibilities Facilitate group sessions . Implement engaging activities that encourage participation and foster a supportive atmosphere. Provide patient care by addressing individual needs within the group setting. Maintain accurate documentation of group notes including participant progress. Utilize general counseling protocols as needed to ensure all participants feel respected and understood. Collaborate with clients to create comprehensive individualized treatment plans as according to program expectations and expected/desired outcomes. Monitor group dynamics and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe environment for all members. Stay informed about best practices in group facilitation and therapeutic techniques. Experience Proven experience working with individuals with alcohol/substance abuse issues is highly desirable. Familiarity with cognitive behavioral therapy techniques is preferred. Experience in outpatient office settings, particularly with adults of all ages and demographics. Knowledge of appropriate documentation practices is essential. Respect and acknowledgement of understanding of cultural diversity will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups are required.
