Mental Health Counselor Dr. Tripp & Associates Port Richey, FL 34668

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and care to individuals with mental health conditions
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as psychotherapy and dance therapy
• Assist in crisis management situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients
• Implement treatment plans and interventions under the guidance of licensed mental health professionals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor and document patient progress, behaviors, and responses to treatment
• Provide gender issues counseling and support for individuals experiencing gender-related challenges
• Offer specialized care for individuals with PTSD, utilizing evidence-based interventions
• Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 codes to accurately document diagnoses and treatment plans

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Experience working in a mental health setting, providing direct care and support to individuals with mental health conditions
• Knowledge of crisis management techniques and ability to effectively respond to emergency situations
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, such as psychotherapy and dance therapy
• Understanding of special education principles and practices for individuals with mental health conditions
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all aspects of work
