Program Overview:
Billingslea Recovery Residence is a long-term residential facility dedicated to providing a supportive, alcohol
- and drug-free environment for adult males in recovery.
Our program supports individuals ages 21-65 with substance abuse issues, offering structured care in a community setting. The average length of stay ranges from six to twelve months, enhancing existing detoxification and treatment services.
Program Overview:
Social Service Provider 1 will deliver daily group counseling services, emphasizing addiction and mental health rehabilitation. The role includes facilitating group sessions, limited individual counseling, family engagement, documentation, and supporting the development of life skills for clients transitioning into a drug-free and productive lifestyle.
Location/Schedule:
1243 First Avenue, Macon, GA /Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
Provide group and limited individual counseling with a focus on recovery addiction and mental health. Facilitate daily therapeutic groups and co-facilitate weekly and team meetings. Act as a client advocate to coordinate services, resolve crises, and ensure continuity of care. Identify barriers to client progress through direct engagement and clinical review.
Qualification:
Certified Addiction Counselor or experience as an Addiction Counselor or working toward an associate/full licensure as
LPC/LAPC, LCSW, LMFT/LAMFT.
Master level graduate with a completed practicum or internship on the licensure track for one of the above with experience providing Substance Abuse Services. Experience working with substance abuse & mental health population Providing group counseling & training to individuals with addiction issues.
Technical Competencies:
Proficient in DSM-IV criteria and diagnostic standards. Skilled in individual, group, and family therapy techniques. Knowledge of agency policies and state/federal treatment guidelines.
