Responsibilities Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients’ mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Offer direct support to clients in navigating their challenges, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of client information. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and provide comprehensive support. Utilize telehealth platforms as needed to deliver counseling services remotely. Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to the field of mental health counseling. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in child family counseling. Qualifications A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; relevant licensure or certification is preferred. Experience working with children and families is highly desirable. Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques and familiarity with coding for medical records is a plus. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
