QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR Certification as an addiction counselor from the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) or equivalent certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

One year of experience providing individual and/or group counseling/case management services for a caseload of clients in a clinical setting.

Notes:

This position will be filled at the Behavioral Health Counselor 1 or Behavioral Health Counselor 2 level, depending on the qualifications of the selected applicant. 2. “Degree in a related field” is a degree in the following majors: Psychological Sciences (psychology, criminology), Behavioral Sciences (sociology, criminal justice), Social Sciences (political science, social work), and Education. The degree majors listed are examples only. Other majors will be considered if they are equivalent to the example majors.
