BEHAVIORAL HEALTHPROFESSIONAL POSITION SUMMARY

The Behavioral Health Professionalwill work as part of a multidisciplinary team with all otherdisciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to provide a proactiveand collaborative approach in serving the patient population in acorrectional environment.•

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE 4, 10

hour shifts per week Rotating Weekends

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS

Must be a Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral HealthClinician who can administer assessments, make clinical decisions,provide Mental Health treatment, and hold any of the followinglicenses: CMHC, LCPC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, ACMHC, ALMFT, CSW orequivalent. The Behavioral Health Professional

• co-leads grouptherapy, one on one therapy, and
• crisis therapy.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTHPROFESSIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Professionals will provide crisis stabilization, completeintakes and on-going evaluations, and provide consultation toin-house and community services. Participate in monthly behavioral health calls, workcollaborative with the medical team to best determine overalltreatment for each individual.

• The Behavioral Health Professional performs risk assessment ofinmates; coordination of care with interdisciplinary team includingmedical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals andcorrections; and discharge planning.
• The Behavioral Health Professional
• assists in planning andimplementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects
• The Behavioral Health Professional
• provides the necessarypreparation of documentation, necessary records and reports. The Behavioral Health Professional utilizes clinical skillssuch as prioritizing treatment needs; crisis management; briefclinical interventions including CBT and Motivational Interviewing
• Excellent and timely documentation skills required.
• The ideal candidate is able to make independent clinicaldecisions, while utilizing assistance and supervisory intervention,as needed.

• BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL REQUIRED EDUCATION,CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE

  Graduation from a Master’s level program in a behavioral healthrelated field. Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in apublic or private agency or equivalent. Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report
