Mental Health Counselor Position Type:

Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, required Preference will be given to those provisionally licensed in the

State of Louisiana Salary Range:

Master’s degree: $45K – $50K annually depending on experience

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct face-to-face interviews with clients and their families Provide individual, family, and supportive counseling in various settings, including office, home, and community Offer crisis intervention and de-escalation supports Develop and implement psycho-social assessments and individualized treatment plans, including short- and long-term goals Link clients to community resources and support services (e.g., housing, employment, healthcare) Collaborate with community agencies and service providers for coordinated care Document all client interactions accurately and efficiently in electronic health records Independently schedule and manage counseling sessions and interventions Meet or exceed key performance indicators for service quality and client progress Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings for professional growth Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field Preference for candidates who are provisionally licensed and actively working towards full licensure in Louisiana Experience in direct mental health service delivery is preferred but not mandatory Strong organizational, communication, and technological skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassionate, self-motivated, and eager to learn
