This role involves supporting clients in developing social, interpersonal, and coping skills to enhance their ability to function effectively in their social environment. The ideal candidate is an advocate for mental health, demonstrating strong therapeutic communication skills and a commitment to client-centered care. Qualifications Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields: Counseling Social Work Psychology Sociology Rehabilitation Services Special Education Early Childhood Education Secondary Education Criminal Justice Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening. Crisis Intervention Prevention Certification CPR and First Aid Training Certification Valid Driver’s License Access to a personal computer and internet Responsibilities Provide individual PSR services to clients. Assist clients in developing social and interpersonal skills to: Increase community tenure Enhance personal relationships Establish support networks Increase community awareness Develop coping strategies Take necessary steps to de-escalate distressed clients . Help clients develop effective responses to identify and avoid precursors or triggers leading to functional impairments. Regularly participate in scheduled clinical supervision with a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP). Exercise therapeutic communication skills to foster client growth and well-being. Function as a client advocate , ensuring their needs are met and voices are heard. Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation , including progress notes and contact logs. Why Join Us?
