Counselor in Training (CIT) Greater You Counseling Center, LLC 429 West Airline Highway, La Place, LA 70068

Job Summary:

Greater You Counseling Center, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor in Training (CIT) to join our behavioral health team. The CIT will provide support services under supervision, including individual and group interventions, documentation, and client advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling under the supervision of an approved clinical supervisor
• Assist clients in developing treatment goals and coping strategies.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups in person.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with Medicaid and agency guidelines.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and ongoing clinical supervision.
• Maintain client confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
• Provide crisis support and resource referrals when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Registered as a CIT with the LA-ADRA Board
• Actively pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with clients diagnosed with mental health or substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with Medicaid documentation requirements.
• Bilingual a plus.

Work Environment:

May be office-based, community-based, remote, or hybrid depending on program needs. Must be comfortable using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and video platforms for teletherapy.
