Job Description
Job Summary The Youth Behavioral Health Clinician works in The Youth Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), a time-limited and structured outpatient behavioral health treatment program for individuals aged 12 – 17. The Youth IOP can provide an effective alternative to an acute care admission or to an ED visit, and can be coordinated with other outpatient providers. Milieu-based treatment is provided by a multidisciplinary behavioral health team including child psychiatrists and licensed clinicians. Experience Experience in psychiatric, community mental health, or health care setting in direct care provision including individual, family, and group treatment. Experienced in using measures for establishing baselines and monitoring data registry outcomes for common conditions like depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, substance use disorders. Proven knowledge of community, outpatient behavioral health, and SUD treatment resources. Proficiency in care coordination, managed care contact and discharge planning Knowledge of community and state agency as well

treatment resources. Education Master’s degree in clinical social work or related healthcare field required. License & Certifications LICSW – Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in MA or LHMC Licensed Mental Health Counselor in MA. CPR Certified. Additional Requirements Effective communication skills with patients, family, physicians, ancillary providers. Ability to form rapid engagement and alliance building with patients. Ability to maintain and monitor confidentiality of patient records. Ability to work in an independent and self-directed manner. Ability to learn new duties and adjust to change.
