Position Overview:

The Group Facilitator plans, develops, and delivers group therapy programming for clients in our mental health/dual diagnosis day programs. Inspires and motivates Charles River Recovery clients and to help them develop tools to work toward recovery using evidence-based and person-centered practices. This is a full-time position, with mental health Outpatient program functioning Monday through Friday during regular business hours.

EDUCATION

Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling or other related field

EXPERIENCE

1 year experience in the field of substance use treatment or closely related field.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
LCSW, LADC I, LICSW, or LMHC Specific Responsibilities:

Evaluate clients’ mental and physical health, addiction, or problem behavior and assess their readiness for treatment Deliver Group Therapy daily to patients with innovative modalities and autonomy of service delivery within regulations. Document mental status and services delivered with patient responses appropriately in EMR system. Work effectively with effective communication within the team to address patient’s status. Help clients develop skills and behaviors necessary to recover from their addiction or modify their behavior Work with clients to identify behaviors or situations that interfere with their recovery Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and the ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the organization. Understands need for and always maintains appropriate confidentiality when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contacts. Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and services for substance use and co-occurring disorders. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
