Home Base operates the first and largest private-sector clinic in the nation devoted to healing Invisible Wounds such as post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, anxiety, depression, co-occurring substance use disorder, military sexual trauma, family relationship challenges and other issues associated with military service. Home Base seeks a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or person working towards their LMHC to provide clinical services and support to patients in the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program. This position is per diem. Home Base is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds – including post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, anxiety, depression, co-occurring substance use disorder, family relationship challenges and other issues associated with military service – for Veterans of all eras, service members, military families, and families of the fallen through world-class clinical care, wellness, education, and research. We offer multiple clinical services including a 2-week Intensive Clinical Program for PTSD and TBI, an Intensive Outpatient Program for Veterans with co-occurring substance use disorders, an outpatient mental health clinic for local and regional patients, a cognitive and brain health program, a comprehensive evaluation program for Special Operators, family and couples programming, and integrated psychedelic assisted therapy programming. The position will report to the psychedelics/innovations team lead under the guidance and direction of the Senior Director Clinical Services. This position will focus on integrated psychedelic assisted therapy programming. As agreed, upon, the position may also work across other multiple clinical services including a 2-week Intensive Clinical Program for PTSD and TBI, an Intensive Outpatient Program for Veterans with co-occurring substance use disorders, an outpatient mental health clinic for local and regional patients, a cognitive and brain health program, a comprehensive evaluation program for Special Operators, family, and couples programming. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Working under the supervision of the psychedelics/innovations team lead under the guidance and direction of the Senior Director of Clinical Services. This position is responsible providing clinical care to patients across Home Base’s clinical programming with a focus on integrated psychedelics assisted therapy programming. Works with the team to implement psychedelic assisted therapy protocols Works with resources across the psychedelics community to ensure best clinical practices are being followed Cross-trained in the roles and responsibilities across the clinic to provide coverage/support as necessary

Organizational/Administrative Skills:

Takes responsibility for own administrative duties, including timely and appropriate documentation inpatient medical records. Qualifications

EDUCATION

Masters in Mental Health Counseling or working towards this degree required

LICENSES

Current LMHC credential or working towards LMHC in Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

EXPERIENCE

Entry Level position Experience with EPIC a plus Experience with veteran and military family population and knowledge of military culture a plus.

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively and complete tasks; Able to juggle daily tasks with needed crisis intervention; Highly motivated, independent and capable of performing in a complex environment; Strong sense of initiative and perseverance to carry through to completion of tasks; Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication; Exceptional computer skills (including operating systems, word processing, database, electronic mail, Internet; Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters discreetly and to ensure confidentiality guidelines are maintained by staff; Knowledge in aspects of safety applicable to position; Knowledge of and compliance with institutional, JCAHO, HIPAA, and other regulatory bodies’ standards. Knowledge of computers and strong customer service skills are required. Works effectively as part of a collaborative and interdisciplinary mental health care team to help formulate assessment, disposition, and treatment planning.
