Responsibilities of Specialty Program Director:
Assure compliance with clinical aspects of contract including utilization and documentation. Work with management team and evaluator to formulate, implement and maintain policies and procedures. Attend monthly in-service training. Assist staff with crisis intervention. Commit to the prevision of culturally competent service. Responsible for compliance with mandatory reporting laws, mandatory incident reporting and for ensuring ethical practices are followed. Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications of Specialty Program Director:
Master’s Degree preferred in mental health, counseling, social work, or a related field Bachelor’s Degree required in mental health, counseling, social work, or a related field Current professional license in a field related to mental health counseling (LMHC, LCSW/LICSW, MHC) in the state of Massachusetts- required . Previous experience working with behavioral patients in a health care setting. Must be able to demonstrate cultural competence. Knowledge of Federal, state and local laws governing substance abuse and mental health services.
