Req #: 35621 ~ Per Diem / As Needed / Variable shifts ~ Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required This is an exciting opportunityfor aBehavioral Health Clinician II to join our care team at Maine Medical Center - Portland in the Acute Psychiatric Care Unit of the Emergency Department.
The Behavioral Health Clinician II in the acute psychiatry unit must be able to quickly establish rapport with a diverse variety of patients; have excellent diagnostic skills; be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment; communicate with colleagues in the Emergency Department, family and outpatient providers; utilize crisis intervention skills; and have knowledge of a broad array of community resources and systems. Summary The role of Behavioral Health Clinician II, working under an independent license, involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. The key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Master’s degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field
License/Certifications:
Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR)
Experience:
At least two years of behavioral health experience including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician.
