The Qualified Mental Health Professional/Community Support Specialist (QMHP/CSS) provides consumer assessment and monitoring in the Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC). This position is also responsible for providing case management services to consumers that utilize the
BHCC. DUTIES
Work collaboratively with the BHCC team in a professional environment to return the consumers to a pre-crisis level of functioning. Triage consumer needs regarding access to care, housing, medical care, and local resources. Outreach to individuals who presented to the BHCC in acute psychiatric crisis, with severe SUD issues or experiencing homelessness but did not engage in agency CPR or ASAM services to link them with necessary services. Assist consumers with accessing and completing Medicaid and/or SNAP applications. Complete and sign documentation or related paperwork contemporaneously with service provision (within five (5) business days) and in accordance with agency and certification standards. Participate in consumer staffing, assessment and treatment planning. Provide referrals and follow-up for consumers. Conduct case finding and outreach activities as requested. Complete continuing education hours as required by DMH and agency certification standards. Assist in training as requested. Participate in quality assurance activities as requested. Maintain current certification in CPR and First Aid. Maintain consumer confidentiality. Perform related work as requested to carry out the purposes, goals and objectives of the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS
The QMHP must be one of the following as listed in the DMH code 9CSR 30-4.030: A physician licensed under Missouri Law to practice medicine or osteopathy, a psychiatrist licensed under Missouri law, a psychologist licensed under Missouri law, a professional counselor licensed under Missouri law, a clinical social worker licensed under Missouri law, a psychiatric nurse, a registered professional nurse, an individual possessing a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree in a related field, an occupational therapist, an advanced practice nurse, or a psychiatric pharmacist. Demonstrate acceptable documentation skills.
SUPERVISION
Directly responsible to the Crisis Director. May have additional departmental supervisor assignment.

Non-Exempt or Exempt, depending on salary and hours
