BHA is looking for energetic, passionate, and motivated Community Living Trainer to provide onboarding training and guidance to incoming new hires for direct care professionals and other behavioral health positions within the organization. Position Purpose This position is responsible for the analysis, development, and implementation of organization training, including the development of curriculum and delivery of courses. Evaluates effectiveness of training and develop measurements to demonstrate results. You will train individuals on how to work in the field supporting individuals with developmental challenges, as well as promote the health, safety and well-being of individuals. You will also be responsible for the ongoing tracking of training requirements per individual while ensuring ongoing compliance with all agency training requirements. Requirements:
Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in administration, psychology, education, social work, special education, vocational rehabilitation, counseling, a closely related field highly preferred, or equivalent time in field. Program Management 1. Analyzes organization training needs; assesses emerging practices in service delivery, identifying and implementing those which would enable the organization to maximize its mission impact. 2. Develops and implements curriculum, ensuring ongoing compliance with current rules and regulations, the Person-Centered Plans, the Kansas City Regional Office of the Department of Mental Health, and BHA’s mission, goals, and values. 3. Effectively delivers training in accordance with the curriculum. 4. Proactively manage changes in program scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. 5. Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources and the BHA President, assists in staff development/performance management, including ongoing issues, incidents, and/or accidents, to ensure quality and adherence to existing policies and procedures, particularly as it relates to the health and safety of persons served. Training & Specific Skills Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills including public speaking. Ability to work in a fast-paced high performing team environment under strict deadlines. Self-motivated strategic thinker with strong analytic and problem-solving skills. Self-directed individual who works well to overcome obstacles to achieve company success.
