Benefit Fair Representative – Part-Time/Seasonal – Mississippi Position Available In Jackson, Mississippi

Job Description:

Under little supervision, Benefit Fair Representatives educateemployees and encourage membership enrollment at VSP Vision Careclient benefit fairs. Benefit Fair Representatives will travel toVSP client locations or participate virtually during the openenrollment period to explain the VSP plan(s) offered by thecompany, answer questions and assist members and potential membersto determine what best meets their needs and the benefits ofenrolling with VSP.Interact with potential and existing VSP membersdirectly (in a group setting or one-on-one), helping themunderstand the necessity of annual eye exams, what choices theyhave in the plans provided, and the true value of VSP as theirbenefits provider.

Provide visitors with plan information and answerany questions about the plans offered. Refer members to CustomerService for any issues that can’t be answered onsite.

Interact withVision Care Marketing and Sales at times to confirm fair/plandetails as well as the client event contact to ensure thatmaterials arrived and that their representation meetsexpectations.

May give presentations on the VSP benefit. Interactwith Vision Care Sales on presentation details andexpectations.

Provide fair details and feedback electronically afterthe fair.

Assist in the collection and facilitation of informationor data as requested by VSP.Maintains inventory of materialsnecessary to represent VSP at fairs.

Job SpecificationsTypically hasthe following skills or abilities:

The insurance industry or humanresources experience is ideal. Previous experience working incustomer service, HR/benefits, or health insurancepreferred.

Professional and friendly conduct, with excellentorganization skills, attention to detail, and the ability tomultitask. Excellent communication skills with all levels of peoplewithin an organization.

Flexible and able to quickly and effectivelychange priorities and direction.

Comfortable speaking to smallgroups and giving presentations to larger groups if necessary,either in person or in a virtual setting. Ability to adapt and beflexible with varying client needs.

Access to personal cell phoneand email, and proficient with the internet. Access to personalwebcam and audio to participate in virtual events. Can comfortablyset up and manage user account information on multiple onlinetools.

Show valid proof of auto insurance. Ability to plan andschedule travel and out-of-town accommodations.

Ability to lift 25pounds.

Business attire required (VSP Polo shirt provided) unlessdirected otherwise.

Ability to walk or stand 90% of the day asneeded when attending onsite events.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) isnot required but a plus.

Open weekday availability throughout theyear and especially between September and November (Depending onthe area of the country, there could be anywhere from 5-25 fairassignments during this peak time or throughout other times of theyear).#
