CADC-LACAS-LACS-A

plays a vital role in providing comprehensive care and support to individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges. This position involves conducting diagnostic evaluations, facilitating group therapy sessions, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various counseling methodologies and be dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for clients on their path to recovery. Duties Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Facilitate group therapy sessions, promoting engagement and participation among clients. Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to modify client behaviors and enhance therapeutic outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, utilizing ICD-10 coding and medical terminology as necessary. Provide cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to address clients’ thought patterns and behaviors effectively. Offer addiction counseling services, guiding clients through the recovery process with empathy and expertise. Deliver mental health counseling and psychotherapy tailored to individual client needs, including PTSD care when applicable. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients, sharing insights and recommendations based on assessments. Qualifications Valid certification as a CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor), LACAS (Licensed Associate Clinical Addiction Specialist), or LACS (Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist). Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and the ability to apply them effectively in practice. Experience in group therapy facilitation with a focus on creating a safe space for sharing and healing. Familiarity with applied behavior analysis principles and their application in therapeutic settings. Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and medical terminology relevant to mental health and addiction treatment. Demonstrated skills in cognitive behavioral therapy, addiction counseling, mental health counseling, psychotherapy, and PTSD care are preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in counseling practices. This position is essential for supporting individuals on their journey toward recovery, making it an impactful role within the mental health community.
