Collect information about patientsthrough interview, case history review, and/or observationaltechniques; evaluate data to identify focus of treatmentinterventions and determine proper therapeutic approach or referralto other specialistsProvide crisis management, and/or short-termsolution-focused therapy to patients as appropriate; providetherapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services asrequiredDemonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and appropriateinterventionsInitiate an interdisciplinary treatment plan andparticipate in the ongoing treatment planning processConsult withother mental health practitioners, healthcare staff andcorrectional professionals, as appropriate in the performance oftherapeutic and/or caseworkDocument patients activities andprogressFollow up to determine reliability of treatment used;change treatment interventions when indicatedParticipate in thereview of clinical issues and program policies and proceduresFollowestablished policies, procedures, professional standards, allfederal, state and local guidelines, continuous quality improvementand safety, environmental, and infection control standardsWilladhere to MEDIKOs Standards of Professional ConductRespond torequests from correctional staff as well as MEDIKO Staff inaccordance with MEDIKO and Facility Guidelines.
