Licensed Mental Health ProfessionalSchedule:

Monday-Friday Location:

Buncombe County Detention CenterResponsibilities:

Collect information about patients throughinterview, case history review, and/or observational techniques;evaluate data to identify focus of treatment interventions anddetermine proper therapeutic approach or referral to otherspecialists Provide crisis management, and/or short-termsolution-focused therapy to patients as appropriate; providetherapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as requiredDemonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and appropriateinterventions Initiate an interdisciplinary treatment plan andparticipate in the ongoing treatment planning process Consult withother mental health practitioners, healthcare staff andcorrectional professionals, as appropriate in the performance oftherapeutic and/or casework Document patients activities andprogress Follow up to determine reliability of treatment used;change treatment interventions when indicated Participate in thereview of clinical issues and program policies and proceduresFollow established policies, procedures, professional standards,all federal, state and local guidelines, continuous qualityimprovement and safety, environmental, and infection controlstandards Will adhere to MEDIKOs Standards of Professional ConductRespond to requests from correctional staff as well as MEDIKO Staffin accordance with MEDIKO and Facility Guidelines.
