In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, assisting them in their recovery journey. You will work closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and families to create a safe and therapeutic environment. Your contributions will be vital in helping patients manage their conditions and improve their overall well-being. Responsibilities Provide individual therapy and support to our patients (ages 9-17) . Assist in implementing and developing treatment plans, ensuring adherence to prescribed therapies. Provide support during therapeutic activities, including group sessions and individual counseling. Engage with patients using motivational interviewing techniques to encourage participation in their treatment. Facilitate communication between patients and the healthcare team, advocating for patient needs and preferences. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, adhering to all safety protocols. Participate in clinical research initiatives as required, contributing to the advancement of mental health practices. Skills Ideal candidates will possess a combination of the following skills: Knowledge of psychopharmacology and its application in patient care. Proficiency in behavior management techniques to effectively address challenging behaviors. Experience with psychotherapy methods, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Familiarity with PTSD care practices and strategies for supporting individuals with trauma histories. Previous experience working with children in a mental health setting is a plus. Strong understanding of inpatient care protocols and procedures. Ability to conduct clinical research and contribute insights based on observations.
