Monarch NC, a provider of high-quality and trauma-informed care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders, is seeking a dedicated Qualified Professional Unit Generalist to join our Club Horizon team in Raleigh, NC.As a Unit Generalist, you will assist and support clubhouse members to increase their functioning so that they can be successful in the environments of their choice with the least amount of ongoing professional intervention. You will share in the responsibility of operating Club Horizons work ordered day prevocational units, social/recreational programs and employment programs. You will also assist the person in learning personal care skills such as healthcare, medication self-management, grooming and other life decisions affecting their illness, and assist them in gaining access to educational activities which include assisting them in securing needed education services such as adult basic education and special interest courses.
- To qualify, candidates must be a North Carolina Qualified Professional (QP). Qualified Professionals must have one of the following combinations of education and experience (please read carefully):
- Bachelor’s Degree in a non-Human Services related field and at least 4 years of full time experience OR at least 8 years of part time experience working with adults with a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis,
- OR•Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services related field and at least 2 years of full time experience OR at least 4 years of part time experience working with adults with a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis,•OR•Master’s Degree in a Human Services related field and at least 1 year of full time experience OR at least 2 years of part time experience working with adults with a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis.
