This position involves providing guidance, support, and resources to clients/students, helping them navigate their recovery process while fostering a safe and encouraging environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in crisis management and mental health counseling, along with a passion for helping others achieve their personal goals. Responsibilities Assist and update clinical director of client crisis situations. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients in their recovery journey. Mentor clients by sharing personal experiences and offering guidance on coping strategies. Facilitate group sessions focused on addiction counseling and behavioral health topics. Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to coordinate care. Maintain accurate documentation. Stay informed about community resources and support systems available for clients. Requirements Proven experience in crisis management, mental health counseling, or related fields. Must have a Peer Support Certification (Active). Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Must have at least 1 to 2 years or more of sobriety. Must have a skill to understand youth challenges. Strong understanding of addiction counseling principles and behavioral health practices. Ability to understand and promote multiple pathways to recovery. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques and mentoring approaches. Background in social work or related disciplines is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all client interactions. This position is essential for fostering resilience among individuals facing challenges, empowering them towards sustainable recovery through compassionate support and professional guidance.
