Greater Seacoast Community Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Specialist to join our integrated care team. In this vital role, you will conduct mental health assessments, provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and work collaboratively with primary care providers and other interdisciplinary team members to treat symptoms of mental health and substance misuse. This position offers a balance of independent work and team collaboration, with opportunities for professional growth, including supervision toward clinical licensure. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct mental health assessments, providing individual and group treatment. Engage in Warm Welcomes, addressing patients’ immediate needs and providing crisis intervention. Collaborate with primary care providers and other team members to recognize and treat symptoms of mental health and substance misuse. Provide timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters, diagnoses, treatment plans, and referrals in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain professional licensure standards and participate in ongoing education and training.

Key Competencies:

Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment models for mental health and substance misuse. Ability to triage patients based on complexity and needs, making appropriate referrals. Demonstrated proficiency in documentation and working with Electronic Health Records (EHR). Flexibility to balance independent work and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team. Commitment to maintaining agency productivity standards and delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a mental health-related field. Approved for licensure by the NH Board of Mental Health.

Candidates who are fully licensed in New Hampshire are strongly preferred; however, individuals actively working toward licensure will be considered.” Active BLS certification or able to obtain certification. Experience providing mental health and/or substance misuse treatment preferred.

Pay:

$32.00 – $42.75, depending on experience and licensure

All regularly scheduled employees working at least 32 hours per week are eligible to receive full benefits.
