GENERAL PURPOSE
The Licensed Clinical Counselor provides individual, couple, group counseling, and psychoeducational workshops to students; and responds to mental health emergencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet with students to secure information and to assess needs; provide individual, group counseling, psychoeducational groups, and crisis intervention on social, cultural, behavioral, developmental, and other matters for students experiencing mental or behavioral difficulties. Consult with families, faculty, staff, mental health professionals and medical personnel, as needed to facilitate the counseling process; refer students to outside resources as warranted.
Develops, publicizes, and presents mental health related workshops and training.
Maintains and continuously develops internal and external partnerships in support and advancement of Health and Wellness department.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree (Mental health counseling, social work, psychology, public health, health promotion, health education, or related field)
Licensed in New York state to practice clinical counseling 1 – 3 years of work related experience Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Titanium
Databases
PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in higher education Jenzabar Software Web Development
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT
Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
SALARY INFORMATION
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring annual salary for this position is $60,000 to $66,549. This annual salary represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
