Supported Housing Respite 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Troy, NY 12180 Joseph’s House & Shelter, an award winning non-profit agency in the Capital Region is looking for per-diem and part-time Support Staff to join our team. These Support Staff will be responsible for working with our formerly homeless tenants who have a primary diagnosis of mental illness, alcohol and/or substance abuse. These open positions are based in Lansingburgh, Albany, and Troy. The right candidate will be empathetic, compassionate, non-judgmental, and able to understand the Harm Reduction/Housing First model of housing homeless individuals. Job Responsibilities Responsible for the operation of the Hill Street Inn, Lansing Inn or Kendal House during the evening, overnight and weekend shifts in accordance with established rules and procedures. To provide comfort and hospitality to all Hill Street, Lansing Inn, or Kendal House tenants. To ensure the safety and comfort of all tenants during the evening/overnight and weekend shifts. To supervise all operations during the evening/overnight and weekend shifts. To ensure that all shift responsibilities are met, including all necessary cleaning and meal preparation. To attend regularly scheduled supervisory meetings with the Shift Coordinator. To work a flexible schedule to meet program needs. To make necessary entries into the log book. Demonstrates ability and flexibility to work as a team member. Is consistent and follows through on all assigned tasks.
