Our BrandsResponsibilities:

The School-Based Therapist

  • Licensed providestherapeutic services to children and adolescents primarily inschool settings, but may also provide services in community oroutpatient settings.

The therapist will address emotional,behavioral, and mental health issues to enhance students’ overallfunctioning in school, home, and community environments. This roleincludes providing individual, group, and family therapy,coordinating with schools and community resources, and maintainingaccurate documentation. This role will collaborate with educationalstaff to support students’ needs and contribute to the developmentand execution of individualized treatment plans. Essential Duties ℜsponsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive biopsychosocialassessments to determine individuals’ needs and appropriateinterventions.
  • Utilize standardized assessment tools andtechniques to gather relevant information.
  • Create individualizedtreatment plans in collaboration with individuals, families, andthe treatment team.
  • Set measurable goals and objectives tailoredto individuals’ needs.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions inindividual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Implementtherapeutic techniques to address various mental health issues,such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders.
  • Act as a liaison between the school, families, and communityresources, ensuring a comprehensive treatment approach.
  • Activelyengage in school and community outreach efforts to promote mentalhealth awareness and maintain caseloads.
  • Provide consistent andcomprehensive services to all assigned individuals on yourcaseload.
  • Ensure regular contact and follow-up with individualsto monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Accurately document all client interactions, treatment plans,progress notes, and other required documentation within establishedtimeframes per company policy.
  • Ensure compliance with allregulatory and organizational standards.
  • Work closely with otherprofessionals as a multidisciplinary treatment team, to provideholistic care.
  • Participate in regular treatment team meetings todiscuss progress and treatment strategies of individuals served.
  • Provide immediate support and intervention during crisissituations.
  • Develop safety plans and coordinate with emergencyservices when necessary.
  • Connect individuals and families withadditional resources and support services as needed.
  • Stay currentwith best practices, new treatment modalities, and emerging trendsin mental health therapy.
  • Participate in ongoing training,workshops, and professional development opportunities.
  • As alicensed clinician working for Health Connect America your NPInumber will be used to bill for services performed by those beingsupervised by you.
  • As a licensed clinician you will beresponsible for ensuring that your credentials remain current, youcomply with all training requirements, and you are adequatelysupervising your staff.
  • Effectively communicate with clients,colleagues, and other stakeholders to address inquiries,disseminate information, and resolve complaints or concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, orrelated field.
  • Must hold a current professional license in thestate of Georgia as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
