In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting individuals with mental health challenges by providing direct patient care and assisting with therapeutic interventions. You will work closely with mental health professionals to ensure the well-being of our patients and contribute to their recovery journey. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for individuals with mental health issues. Assist in the implementation of treatment plans as directed by licensed mental health professionals. Conduct medical documentation accurately and timely, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Engage patients in therapeutic activities, including behavioral therapy and addiction counseling, to promote recovery and coping skills. Participate in case management by monitoring patient progress and reporting significant changes to the treatment team. Collect data for research purposes as needed, contributing to the improvement of mental health services. Facilitate group sessions that may include dance therapy or other creative modalities to enhance patient engagement. Support patients in daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Qualifications A background in mental health counseling or behavioral therapy is preferred. Experience in patient care or case management is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical documentation practices is essential. Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
