We provide a wide range of services, including alternative education, outpatient counseling, and residential treatment, impacting the lives of over 5,000 individuals annually. Summary As a Mental Health Technician at Abraxas Youth & Family Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of our clients. This position involves working directly with youth in various settings to provide compassionate care and assistance in their therapeutic journey. Responsibilities Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients. Provide direct support and care to youth in residential settings. Monitor client behavior and report any significant changes to the clinical team. Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage clients in therapeutic activities that promote emotional and social development. Collect data on client progress and participate in treatment team meetings. Requirements Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field. Experience in mental health or direct support roles is highly desirable. Strong understanding of clinical documentation practices and HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
