Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable vehicle.
This position requires travel to homes and other community locations to provide services and support clients.
Mileage reimbursement provided.
Self-identified individual with a mental health diagnosis and who has reached a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations.
Have completed a department approved peer services training.
Obtained and maintained the certification as a CPS through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.
Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm•Preferred qualifications:•Basic computer skills and experience with an electronic health record.
Knowledge of local resources in Montgomery County.

We are seeking a full-time Certified Peer Specialist to join our community-based team in Colmar, PA serving Clients in Montgomery County.
The Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) provides peer support services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges. As someone with lived experience in recovery, the CPS uses their story to inspire hope and provide support to clients on their recovery journey. The CPS works collaboratively with clients to foster empowerment, community integration, and wellness.•The Certified Peer Specialist will:•Build supportive, recovery-oriented relationships with individuals based on shared experience and mutual respect.
Assist clients in developing recovery goals and action plans.
Model effective coping techniques, self-help strategies, and the use of natural supports.
Support clients in navigating mental health and/or substance use services and resources.
Advocate with and on behalf of clients to reduce stigma and promote recovery principles.
Maintain appropriate documentation and records in compliance with Merakey standards.
Attend weekly individual and team supervision and participate in ongoing training as required.
