This position is located at the Aiken-Barnwell Mental Health Center, 1135 Gregg Highway, Aiken, SC 29803. This position will require travel throughout Aiken and Barnwell counties. Job Purpose Provides leadership and management for ABMHC’s Mobile Crisis/Access and Living Room Programs ensuring that quality and effective crisis services are delivered 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year and patients are seen for according to ACCESS requirements. Job Function Provides leadership and management of the Mobile Crisis and Access Team at ABMHC ensuring that crisis services are delivered 24/7/365. Will manage data and reports (weekly hospital bed report, community bed request forms, grant reports, Living Room, etc.) and submit by due date. Will review crisis reports from call center daily and ensure follow-up care is provided and documented. Ensure individuals are triaged according to access standards and linked with services based on needs. Ensures staff are knowledgeable of and measured against direct service standards for clinical services. Maintains individual bill-time rate of 360 hours annually. Ensures the use of collaborative documentation in department, ensures patients are seen in accordance with their needs and ensures patients functionality is measured by the DLA-20. Recruits, develops and retains a competent, culturally diverse, motivated and productive workforce. Ensures that patient satisfaction and symptom reduction are measured and reported on a regular, on-going basis and ensures a system is in place to meet established access requirement for patients. Ensures caseload guidelines are met for the Center reviewing for timely discharge, engagement, transition and follow-up. Ensures complete documentation according to

QA/SCDMH

standards. Complies with Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan. Ensures timely completion of prior authorizations. Performs other duties as needed

Minimum and Additional Requirements State Requirements:

A Master’s degree and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

Internal requirements:

A Master’s degree in guidance, counseling or the social science and is licensed or working toward licensure.

Agency Preferences:

Experience in community mental health setting and crisis intervention. Supervisory experience. Thorough knowledge of methods, principles, & practices of clinical counseling education. Considerable experience working with individuals in crisis and conducting assessments. Extensive knowledge of psychopathology and psychodiagnostics. Knowledge of community resources. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with multiple community partners. Ability to work effectively and independently with limited supervision. Ability to conduct mental health assessments for adults/children/families while out in the community setting and provide brief interventions, case management and referrals. Employee is expected to work with limited supervision. Supervision will be provided by Program Manager, Justice Programming and through consultation with MD. Employee is subject to SCDMH policies and procedures. Ability to lift 5lbs and operate a state vehicle. Position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies. Position is required to take after-hours on-call shifts and ensure all shifts are covered. Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
