With our Agency’s mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Pee Dee Mental Health Center Florence Office, 125 E. Cheves St., Florence, SC 29506.
This position is located at the SC Dept. of Mental Health at Pee Dee Mental Health Center, in the ‘Roads of Independence’ (ROI) program. This program is based out of the Florence location at 607 W. Evans Street but will serve the entire four-county catchment area. This position will require flexible hours and occasional evenings and weekends. Under limited supervision, provides telehealth, counseling, assessments, groups, individual, and family therapy to Youth and Young Adults in the Pee Dee Roads of Independence Program. Responsibilities for this Mental Health Professional I position include but are not limited to:
Employee will provide direct counseling, assessments, crisis intervention, and support services to the youth and young adults in the Pee Dee Roads of Independence program. Will also develop treatment plans with goals, objectives, and interventions utilizing counseling techniques. Employee will maintain productivity at the level described in the Pee Dee Mental Health policy by providing services to youth, young adults, and their families. Employee will contact families same day or next day to set up appointments, open cases and complete initial intakes. Employee will complete all EMR documentations within designated time frame and maintain all required documentation in compliance with QA and Center Standards. Employee will participate in office staffing, supervision, and treatment team meetings to plan, receive, and offer suggestions to a team member to help benefit the clients. Provides other related duties as assigned.

For MHP Student Loan Repayment:

This position MAY be eligible for SCDMH Student Loan Repayment to cover some of the cost of your outstanding loan(s) balance associated with the completion of a healthcare degree that is relevant to the applicable position.
