Job Summary:
JOB SUMMARY
Performs diagnostic assessment and therapeutic treatments under occasional guidance. Maintains contact with family and community agencies and makes referrals. Performs supervisory functions for staff/students and routinely offers support/coverage for departmental needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides initial assessment and develops plan of care according to TN Department of Mental Health Best Practice Guidelines.
- Provides targeted evidence based interventions into clinical practice with patients.
- Acts as clinical liaison with patient, family, treatment team and community.
- Provides leadership and promotes teamwork and professionalism within the department and organization.
- Contributes to the organization by actively participating in process improvement initiatives and shared decision making.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
- Clinical Counseling (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of clinical counseling in practical applications of a difficult nature.
Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
