Category Schools – Behavior Specialist Job Type Contract An opportunity exists for seasoned professionals to take on a pivotal role in supporting K-12 students through their mental health challenges. This position, based in Centerville, TN, focuses on providing brief interventions and therapeutic guidance within a school setting.
Location:
Centerville, TN Responsibilities:
Deliver direct support to students through individual and group therapy, as well as crisis intervention. Conduct behavioral threat assessments, suicide assessments, and psychosocial evaluations as necessary. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to identify at-risk students and implement appropriate support strategies. Actively participate in Alternative, IEP, or 504 meetings as required by the team. Provide tiered mental health support in alignment with the Tennessee Framework for Student Supports (TN-FSS).
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health or related field. Licensure as LPC, LMFT, LSSW, MSW, LMSW, or LCSW; temporary license acceptable. Experience working with adolescents in a school or clinical setting. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to assess and address a variety of mental health needs.
