We started Still Waters Counseling Services to fulfill two needs: to serve an under-served community, and to get out of the agency/corporate mental health world that bogged us down as clinicians and limited our earning potential. We know agencies offer benefits, but when we did the math, we found they were still taking more than half of what we could have been earning, even when we had supervisory roles. Our business model is more efficient, allows far more freedom as clinicians and financial earning potential. Details:

Offering positions on an independent contractor basis. Become a part of an established and well known practice with a strong virtual and local presence, with solid working relationships with referral sources in East TN. Locally owned and operated by practicing clinicians who love their community. We accept insurance and self pay clients. We manage the billing and claims filing for you. We manage the marketing, billing, office and administrative needs, answer the phone, manage the waitlist and schedule the initial session. Applicants do the counseling and timely documentation. You never have to worry about overhead costs. Work from home and have a physical office space location. It is preferred that applicants will be willing to have at least some in-office hours. There is a high degree of flexibility in the hours you work. Currently our physical location is closed on weekends, and we ask our clinicians to not work alone in the building. Those are the main criteria that influence that conversation on our end. Our practice uses a HIPAA compliant, intuitive and easy to use private practice platform that integrates noting, client communications, Telehealth and more, all into one very easy to use, reliable program. The 100% online program makes managing every aspect of your caseload simple. We will train you and support you in using it. Applicants can negotiate their desired caseload level, though it is preferred that applicants see a minimum of 24 cases weekly, providing services to both self pay and insurance clients. We will help you get on our insurance panels if you are not already in network. We offer competitive, simple and fair contract terms. Clinician will retain 70% of all services rendered to clients, practice retains 30%. Listed yearly wage is an estimate for a caseload of 24 clients a week, but actual wage earned is of course dependent upon the number of clients served. This is not a salaried position.
