The Intake Counselor will join our Clinical Admissions Department and play a crucial role in guiding patients through the admissions process. We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

Desired Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field Alternatively, at least 1 year of experience in behavioral health

Experience:

1-2 years of experience in a higher level psychiatric or substance abuse facility Proficiency in mental health documentation and use of EMR systems Experience working with individuals in behavioral health crises or under substance influence Strong background in customer service Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting Detail-oriented with experience in electronic health records and Excel Familiarity with

DTX/RTC/PHP/IOP/OP

Levels of Care Responsibilities:

Welcome and assist patients and their families, guiding them through the admissions process Conduct intake assessments and utilize evidence-based assessments as needed Adhere to company Standards of Care to ensure proper care and accurate documentation Develop initial treatment and discharge plans in collaboration with the clinical team
