A Brief Overview Provides and coordinates psychological counseling to treat patients with mental disorders. Coordinates the utilization review and patient access process for behavioral health patients. Conducts educational programs, activities, and clinical supervision of therapeutic programming. Education Qualifications Master’s Degree Counseling Master’s Degree Psychology Master’s Degree Social Work Experience Qualifications 3-5 years Psychological counseling Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of current theories and principles of mental health disorders and best-practice counseling techniques. Demonstrated knowledge and use of medical criteria for reimbursement of services rendered for mental health. Ability to read, interpret, and apply guidelines for charge reimbursement. Demonstrated ability to interact with peers, medical staff, patients/families and other constituents involved in patient care. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to conduct all activities in accordance with professional ethics and values. Licenses and Certifications Licensed Master Social Worker Tennessee
