Job Overview:
The Mental Health Program Supervisor strengthens the resilience of forcibly displaced individuals by providing culturally responsive support. Working directly with individuals and families, this role offers emotional support, practical assistance, and skill-building opportunities to promote well-being. Key responsibilities include conducting client assessments, leading skill-building workshops and psychosocial support groups, and delivering educational sessions on mental health and coping strategies. The Supervisor ensures accurate data collection, program reporting, and compliance with grant and policy requirements. Additionally, this role collaborates with community partners, healthcare providers, and local organizations to develop culturally appropriate resources, address service gaps, and advocate for expanded mental health support
Major Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Conduct client-centered assessments to identify mental health and adjustment needs. + Initial case work services with clients and follow-up care. + Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and professional development support to Mental Health Specialists. + Oversee case management, ensuring compliance with program standards and policies + Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins and team meetings to ensure high-quality service delivery. + Oversee case management, ensuring compliance with program standards and policies. + Develop and facilitate skill-building workshops on stress management, coping strategies, and problem-solving. + Lead psychosocial support groups and deliver educational workshops on mental health awareness and available resources. + Maintain accurate data collection, case documentation, and reporting to track program outcomes and ensure compliance. + Ensure adherence to grant requirements, funding guidelines, and IRC policies while supporting program evaluation. + Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, mental health providers, and government agencies to improve service accessibility. + Provide training and guidance to volunteers, interns, and peer support facilitators. + Promote mental health awareness and psychosocial support within the community. + Conduct home and community visits to assess needs and develop individualized support plans. + Engage in evidence-based psychoeducation and skill-building activities under supervision. + Collaborate with the supervisor on crisis assessment and intervention as needed. + Assist in evaluating current program services and identifying opportunities for expansion. + Participate in IRC training and conference calls related to mental health program development. +
Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall program success and client self-sufficiency.
Job Requirements:
+ Preference Undergraduate degree preferred, ideally in the field of mental health or social services (relevant work experience can be a substitute for an undergraduate degree) + Fluency in English and Spanish or Arabic required. + Prior experience working with refugees and/or community organizing, preferably with disadvantaged communities and related to health or mental health + Ability to build trust and rapport with RIM community + Familiarity with issues facing refugee and immigrant communities as they relate to trauma, adjustment, and mental health + Ability to assess needs, prioritize and develop action plans + Ability to advocate and liaise with health and social service systems + Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties and manage time effectively + Strong communication skills (written and verbal) + Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment + Ability to follow strict guidelines of client confidentiality and safeguarding + Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with data-tracking systems + Valid driver’s license, access to personal, insured, vehicle, and ability to travel within the service delivery area
Work Experience:
+ Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience required. + Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred.
Working Environment:
+ A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. + May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
