The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals facing various mental health challenges, including grief and crisis situations. This role involves working closely with patients in a hospital setting, delivering individual and group counseling, and ensuring comprehensive patient care through effective case management. Responsibilities Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address the emotional and psychological needs of patients. Provide grief counseling and support to individuals coping with loss or trauma. Maintain accurate medical documentation for all patient interactions and treatment plans. Perform thorough patient assessments to identify needs and develop appropriate care strategies. Engage in crisis management to support patients in acute distress or emergency situations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care and effective communication across disciplines. Manage case files, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations. Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution. Valid LAPC or LMSW license in the state of practice. Experience in social work, particularly in a hospital or clinical setting, is preferred. Proficiency in individual group counseling techniques and crisis intervention strategies. Strong skills in medical documentation and patient assessment processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
