Job Description
Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualifiedmunity health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” providesprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care.
Adolescent LICSW, LCSW, or LMHC Summary
Under the general supervision of the Integrated Behavioral Health Program Director, the Adolescent LICSW, LCSW, or LMHC’s function is to provide assessment, consultation, case management, behavior health treatment and resource acquisition to adolescent patients/clients referred by the providers in conjunction with HealthFirst and the School-Based Health Center (SBHC).
Schedule:
Mon – Fri 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Required Qualifications
1.Master’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology from an accredited college or university.
2.Position requires a Massachusetts state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). At least 2 years post LICSW experience in Adolescent/Pediatric social work.
3.Community health or clinical background preferred.
4.Satisfactorypletion of continuing education credits as mandated by any professional boards, licensing agencies, or credentialinganizations.
5.Bi-lingual preferred.
6.Must submit a CORI Release Form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information.
7.Must have a valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle as some transportation may be required.
Competencies
1.The LICSW, LCSW, or LMHC must have a high level of customer service and a positive approach to work with adolescent patients. Projects positive attitude about the department and the health center, and offers services to ensure positive experience.
2.Ability to maintain ananized work area and work collaboratively as a member of a team.
3.Must possess excellent oral and writtenmunication skills and time management skills to effectivelymunicate with patients and other providers.
4.Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
5.Works well under pressure to manage stressful situations.
6.Uses sound judgment and confidence in their practice.
7.Abides by the Code of Ethics outlined by the National Association of Social Workers.
8.Ability to multi- task.
9.Detail-oriented and accurate.
10.Maintain CPR certification.
