POSITION SUMMARY:

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) or Masters of Social Work (MSW) provides social work services to patients of the Community Free Clinic, a free clinic serving low-income, uninsured adult residents of Cabarrus County, NC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assess, diagnosis, and provide treatment for patients. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop appropriate supports and interventions and service coordination. Demonstrate proficient skill in evidence-based practices and theories to work with adults and their families. Screens newly enrolled/re-enrolled patients for mental health needs Assesses patients and families’ abilities and/or needs they may interfere with medical progress. Assists patients and families to fully utilize community resources. Documents social work intervention in medical records within timely manner. Counsels patient/family to achieve optimal level of psychosocial functioning. Provide culturally responsive and inclusive treatment for immigrants. Spanish-speaking, with general understanding of Latino culture, concerns, and needs Comfort with speaking to patients with a native language other than English
