The temp must independently licensed such as an RN, LPC, or LCSWWe need overnights covered 11:30pm to 8am weekends and weekdays for40 hours a week.

Remote Job Description:

Assesses patient’sbehavioral health clinical need against established guidelinesand/or standards to ensure that the level of care and length ofstay of the patient are medically appropriate for inpatient stay.

Evaluates the necessity, appropriateness and efficiency ofbehavioral health medical services and procedures provided.

Coordinates and assists in implementation of plan for members.

Monitors and coordinates services rendered outside of the network,as well as outside the local area, and coordinates internally fornegotiation of fees for such services as appropriate. Coordinateswith patient, family, physician,hospital and other externalcustomers with respect to the appropriateness of care fromdiagnosis to outcome. Coordinates the delivery of high quality,cost-effective care supported by clinical practice guidelinesestablished by the plan addressing the entire continuum of care.

Monitors patient’s behavioral health medical care activities,regardless of the site of service, and outcomes for appropriatenessand effectiveness. Advocates for the member/family among varioussites to coordinate resource utilization and evaluation of servicesprovided. Encourages member participation and compliance in thebehavioral health case/disease management program efforts.

Documents accurately and comprehensively based on the standards ofpractice and current organization policies. Interacts andcommunicates with multidisciplinary teams either telephonicallyand/or in person striving for continuity and efficiency as themember is managed along the continuum of care. Understands fiscalaccountability and its impact on the utilization of resources,proceeding to self-care outcomes. Evaluates care by problemsolving, analyzing variances and participating in the qualityimprovement program to enhance member outcomes. Completes otherassigned functions as requested by management. Qualifications:

Education/Experience Requires a masters in abehavioral health related field or Nursing degree Requires aminimum of two (2) years behavioral health clinical experience.

Behavioral health experience, preferably in a managed care setting,strongly preferred. Additional licensing, certifications,registrations Active Unrestricted NJ LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or RN LicenseRequired Applied Behavior Analysis Certification preferredKnowledge Prefers proficiency in the use of personal computers andsupporting software in a Windows based environment, including MSOffice products (Word, Excel,PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes; prefersknowledge in the use of intranet and internet applications. Prefersworking knowledge of case/care management principles. Prefersworking knowledge of principles of utilization management. Prefersbasic knowledge of health care contracts and benefit eligibilityrequirements. Prefers knowledge of hospital structures and paymentsystems.
