The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, particularly in working with children and individuals on the autism spectrum. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs. The LCSW will collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support the mental health and well-being of our clients. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual and group therapy sessions for children and adolescents, focusing on behavioral health issues. Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare providers to create a supportive environment for clients. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication and documentation. Engage in research activities to stay current with best practices in social work and behavioral health. Advocate for clients within various systems, including educational and healthcare settings. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills related to special education and autism support. Skills Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and effective strategies for supporting individuals with these challenges. Experience in patient care, particularly with children facing behavioral health issues. Proficient in patient assessment techniques and the ability to develop tailored treatment plans. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to social work practice. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and ethical practice. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families, schools, and healthcare professionals. Ability to conduct research that informs practice and enhances service delivery within the field of social work.
