This position will be embedded with North Augusta Public Safety.

Job PurposeUnder limited supervision, provides crisis intervention, therapy, clinical assessment, and referral services to adults, children, families and detainees referred by and involved with law enforcement agencies in Aiken County.

Job Functions Utilizes clinical skills in providing screening, crisis, and therapeutic interventions, assessment, and resources to adults, children, families or detainees who havebeen identified as high-risk for psychological and functional impairment following a traumatic event. Delivers follow-up care to patients after traumatic experiences, and ensures patient are seen in accordance with their needs.

Provide case consultation with officers and victim advocates to generate referral of patients identified in need if mental health resources/interventions. Services as liaison with personnel of LE to facilitate treatment and/or outside referral needs of identified patients seen with LE.Provides crisis services during business hours, as requested, assists LE with emergency calls requiring de-escalation expertise or involving individuals with mental health needs.

Required to take 4 on-call shifts per month during week and 2 weekend shifts per month.

Coordinate with key community stakeholders to provide multi-system, trauma informed interventions and participate in community outreach events.

Manages data collection for patient served.

Participates in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, and pursues professional development.

Completes documentation according to

QA/SCDMH

standards and complies with Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan.

Performs other duties as needed.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
State Requirements:

A Master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

Agency Requirements:

A Master’s degree in social work, guidance counseling, or the social sciences.

Must be eligible for licensure and willing to pursue within six months.
