Summary:
Assists with the Management of the daily operations of the Child Care to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Assists with the county licensing for Memorial Regional Child Care.
Required Work Experience:
One (1) year experience working with children required.
Preferred experience:
Early Childhood, Childcare Responsibilities:
Serves as a teacher when needed to ensure safe child to teacher ratio.
Submits purchase orders.
Supports special projects including but not limited to graduation, open houses, staff meetings.
Follows national accreditation and licensing policies and practices.
Manages staff relations including assisting with performance management, staff satisfaction, conflict management, and tuition input. Assists with the oversight of scheduling and payroll.
Maintains staff files per child care licensing standards.
Inputs student assessments and additional documentation in Early Learning Coalition database.
Assists with developing specific Child Care goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization and enable employees of Memorial to have a safe place for their children while the employee is at work.

Education and Certification Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)CPR Cert American Heart (CPR AHA)

- Red Cross (RED CROSS), DCF 45-hour Certification (DCF CERT)
- Florida Department of Childrens & Family (DCF)

Complexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Work Experience:
One (1) year experience working with children required.
Other Information:
A full Level two (2) background screening at time of hire and every five (5) years following. Forty-five (45) Annual In-Service Hours upon hire or within the first three (3) months of taking the position. Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Word. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Current Child Development Associate Certification preferred. Additionally, Florida Child Care Professional Certificate (must renew upon expiration) or higher degree in Early Childhood or General Studies also preferred.
