Opening and Closing Childcare Specialist HendrixPresley Learning Academy Pensacola, FL 32506 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Opener /Closer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently from the start or close of each day. As an Opener/Closer, you will be responsible for preparing the workspace, setting up equipment, and ensuring that everything is in place for a successful day ahead. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Be the first staff member to arrive at a childcare center, preparing the facility for the day, and overseeing the children’s arrival and initial activities/ or the closer ensuring all children are picked up; clean, and all end of day activities are being conducted Set up equipment and ensure all tools are functional and ready for use. Conduct pre-opening checks to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Organize supplies and materials needed for the day’s tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area throughout the shift. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations. Requirements PLEASE indicate if applying for Opener or Closer or BOTH on your application. Must be able to pass a background screen. Previous child care experience a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed. Must be able to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods.
