Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM (with flexibility for overnight stays, occasional weekend work, travel, and PA duties if the Nanny is happy to work extra hours) Starting date: ASAP We are seeking a proactive, energetic, and responsible Nanny to join a dynamic household on Fisher Island. This role involves caring for two bright and active children, aged 9 and 12, with a focus on fostering a supportive, structured, and positive environment. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of warmth and discipline, embodying strong values and the ability to maintain household structure with common sense and good judgment. Key Responsibilities Provide attentive and responsible care for the children, ensuring their safety and well-being. Help with schoolwork and provide educational support to encourage academic success. Transport the children to and from school and extracurricular activities. One child attends school on Fisher Island, while the other commutes to Miami. Manage children’s belongings, ensuring tidiness and organization. Run errands, including grocery pickups and other household tasks as needed. Occasionally walk the family dog and assist with pet care. Prepare healthy snacks and simple meals; enthusiasm for cooking is a plus. Adapt to changing needs and schedules with a positive, can-do attitude. Be available for occasional overnight stays and travel (travel is infrequent). Guide the children in developing organizational habits and responsibility. Qualifications and Skills Prior experience working with children in a similar role. A strong, flexible personality with common sense and sound judgment. Energetic, engaging, and able to relate well to children and young teens. Firm but kind approach; not a pushover but compassionate and understanding. Ability to create and maintain a structured household environment.
