Description:

A dynamic and hard-working family is seeking an adaptable, reliable, and well-rounded live-in nanny/household manager to care for their two daughters, ages 12 and 11, as well as their home. This family is seeking someone to grow with their family and offers a well-balanced approach to nannying and household management, with the focus shifting between the two depending on whether Mom is home or traveling. The eldest daughter is 12 years old, and she’s a very bright, articulate, and confident young girl. She is kind-hearted and compassionate, and loves staying active! Some of her favorite hobbies include playing basketball, volleyball, and running track. While she is very independent and self-sufficient, she would thrive with an engaging nanny she can build a strong bond with, share special moments, and develop a meaningful relationship. In her free time, she enjoys playing board games, watching movies, and spending time with her sister and friends The youngest in the family is a fun and playful 11-year-old girl. She has a unique, quirky personality and loves telling jokes! She is also very inquisitive, imaginative, and playful. She can spend hours playing with dolls and would do well with a loving and genuine nanny who sparks her imagination and enjoys getting down on her level to play. She also loves staying active with soccer and cheerleading. This busy and active family is excited to welcome a nanny who will seamlessly become part of their household and commit to the position for the long run. Mom co-parents with Dad and is very hardworking and has a demanding schedule, which includes traveling a few times a year. She values having a routine and likes to maintain a healthy balance between schoolwork, responsibilities, and downtime to relax and recharge. They are a health-conscious family making thoughtful, intentional choices about what they eat and visiting farmers’ markets. They love having fun and spending quality time together, especially unwinding at their home in a private neighborhood, which offers access to a pool, sauna, and tennis court, all of which they love to use. A long-term fit is key, and they are seeking someone who is extremely flexible and adaptable to the changing rhythms of family life, and detail-oriented. The ideal nanny for this family is emotionally mature, dependable, and deeply committed to building a lasting relationship. The nanny will be intuitively able to anticipate the family’s needs, read the room, and proactively take the lead to make their home run smoothly. Someone loving, respectful, and with a love for organization and cleanliness, with a can-do and positive attitude, and the ability to confidently lead and balance childcare and household tasks with minimal supervision. This exciting role offers a blend of nannying and household management responsibilities. The individual will be caring for the children, safely driving them to and from activities, preparing meals and snacks, engaging with them in play and other activities, and helping them stay on top of their responsibilities. As for the household manager portion of the role, they will be responsible for all housekeeping-related tasks, including maintaining organization and tidiness around the home, cleaning, doing laundry, shopping for food at the farmers market, running errands, among other things. About three times a year, when Mom is away on work trips for three to four days, the nanny will take full charge of childcare during that time. Qualifications 3 years of professional childcare and household management experience Educational background preferred High school diploma At least 21 years of age Valid driver’s license Reliable and insured vehicle Clean driving record Authorized to work in the U.S. Pet friendly Schedule Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. Compensation The family is offering $30/hr based upon 40 guaranteed hours per week, which equates to up to $1,200/week, and an anticipated annual base income of $62k/year. This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law. Benefits The family is offering 4 days of paid sick time, 8 weeks of paid time off, a $200 monthly healthcare stipend, relocation assistance if needed, paid major holidays, and a family vehicle for on-the-job travel.
